I was asked by Brighton based rock band THUDD to create the cover art for one of their latest singles. The brief was to create a scene depicting the aftermath of a battle. One of the band members made the suggestion of the image of a sword stuck in the ground with a crown resting on it’s hilt that reflets the song’s themes of power being overthrown. The artwork was created primarily in Photoshop using digital painting over several combined image references as well as text created in Illustrator.
